Work with Transdisciplinary Business Consultants

Working with a Transdisciplinary Business Consultant

A Transdisciplinary Business Consultant is trained in transdisciplinarity—the art and science of synthesizing and harmonizing links between disciplines into a coordinated and coherent whole solution approach.

Our consultants are trained to understand how different parts of your business (the strategy, structure, standards, etc.) interact and how they can be enhanced in a way that meets your needs today and into the future. Our consultants are also familiar with local laws, know what markets exist for different business products and services, and can help manage the legal and financial aspects of business formalization-associated activities. With their technical expertise, you can accomplish more with business than you might be able to do alone, and you'll be less likely to make expensive mistakes.

Much like your pediatrician takes responsibility for the health of your children, including wellness checks, vaccinations, early detection, and treatment of illnesses, a transdisciplinary business consultant can monitor your business and provide what is needed to keep it growing, thriving, and evolving. She/He will also bring your attention to threats and opportunities and help you find ways to address them.  A transdisciplinary consulting firm is different from a traditional consulting firm; a transdisciplinary firm typically dissolves the boundaries between conventional disciplines. It does so by organizing teaching and learning around the construction of meaning in the context of real-world problems or themes that meets the business owner’s goals.  Traditional consulting on the other hand is responsible for helping organizations improve their performance, for a number of reasons, as planned by your transdisciplinary consultant.

If you would like to learn more about participating in the Pathways to Formalization Program, one of your first steps will be to meet with a business consultant, who is an independent professional who works to help business owners manage their businesses. Business consultants can also collect information on your business to make recommendations on how to keep the business healthy, write management plans, and plan profitable and impactful business activities if the business owner is interested.

The Pathways to Formalization Program has partnered with several organizations that meet professional standards and have been trained on how to plan Pathways to Formalization educational tracts. As part of the Pathways process, we’ll connect you with a transdisciplinary business professional near you to learn more about your business and move forward with planning a Pathways educational tract for your enterprise
