About the She Grows It internship program:

We are a company seeking to build up the next generation of international leaders for development and diplomatic assistance. We want to find individuals who also uphold values that coincide with our commitment to impacting the world and it’s people in a positive manner.  Interns that join SGI will engage in research on topics related to agricultural development, business practices, and policy centred on environmental and economic sustainability. 

At SGI, we are seeking enthusiastic interns to commit to our 90 or 120 day internship program from August 2022. During that time, interns will work alongside leading experts in both government and academia that share diverse and global perspectives. Interns will also take on leadership roles with supervisory support that harness the potential of our interns to address key issues in food security, environmental health, and economic growth. The overall mission of this internship at SGI is to provide students, or recent graduates, with a professional learning opportunity that offers meaningful and practical work experience related to their field of study or career choice. In order to accomplish this, our interns will commit to a minimum of 15 hours a week, with flexibility around scheduling.


As an Environmental Sustainability Internship, you will be introduced to projects that deal specifically with ecosystem services, economics intertwined with the environment, and citizen outreach. Environmental Sustainability interns will also be introduced to a collaborative and cross-disciplinary team environment. We use this kind of environment to ensure teamwork coupled with self discipline is maintained as a priority. Moreover, in this environment, you will undertake responsibilities that include economic and environmental sustainability policy research and analysis for data collection purposes.

Environment & Sustainability Internship


At SGI, we utilize Management Interns as Project Managers with the greatest amount of leadership responsibility. As a PM, you will be given an internship program that directly relates to your field of study and/or choice. In detail, as a PM, you will be expected to lead your specific intern program in all aspects of their internship experience. For instance, you will be expected to conduct weekly meetings with your team, lead educational seminars that relate to your projects, and be readily available to assist your interns with any inquiries that come up. Furthermore, Management interns will be expected to meet with Dr. Ashley Milton, our CEO, weekly in order to discuss the progress of your intern program and any goals Dr. Milton has set.bal agriculture business practice and policy arena by harnessing the potential of students, practitioners, and developers in addressing key issues in food security, environmental health, and economic growth.

Management Internship


As a Marketing and Communications Intern, you will be introduced to projects that deal specifically with expanding the capability of She Grows It to reach across multiple industries. Strat-Comm interns are introduced to an atmosphere of supported creativity. In that, the projects will be created by and through the work of our interns. For example, some of the past created projects have been based in web design and development, brand development, and content management. Of course, accomplishing these projects with the support and guidance of our SGI team. Our ultimate goal is to build bridges across different platforms in hopes to unify countries, specifically countries in Western Africa, with our core values.

Marketing & Communications Internship


As an International Affairs, Relations, & Development Intern, you must be dedicated to improving resilient development, social well-being, food security, and environmental health for communities globally. IRD interns must be committed to working in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team. Moreover, IRD interns will need to be self-driven and highly motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and special interest in connecting private sector motivation with public good. Furthermore, this kind of intern will be introduced to projects that are designed to accelerate the growth one has in understanding geopolitical relations between nation-states as well as specific details that pertain to each country. These projects you will be a part of will also develop your skills in analyzing how a country sustains economic growth with support for their respective environment.

International Relations & Development Internship


As a Business and Economic Development Intern, you will be introduced to projects that deal specifically with governance, market research, and human and infrastructure development. Further, Business-Econ interns will be placed into a collaborative and cross-disciplinary environment to cultivate teamwork and an ability to discuss different fields related to business and economics. In this environment, Business-Econ interns will be expected to undertake responsibilities that include economic and social policy research, and analysis for data collection purposes. These projects will increase the awareness of the business-economic intern to be aware of the political, economic, and socio-cultural experience in developing nations.

Business and Economic Development Internship


As a Translation and Public relations Intern, you will be introduced to projects that specifically deal with building relationships with future clients, employees, and interns. Translation interns will also take part in the translation of documents. These documents will currently be translated between the English and the French language. Moreover, you will also be introduced to a collaborative and cross-disciplinary team environment. We use this kind of environment to ensure teamwork coupled with self discipline is maintained as a priority. In this environment, translation interns will be expected to undertake responsibilities that coincide with building a relationship between African countries and She Grows It.

Translation and Public Relations Internship


As a Finance Intern, you will be introduced to projects that deal specifically with financial payment systems, finance policy, and nation-state co-operations. Further, Finance interns will be placed into a collaborative and cross-disciplinary environment to cultivate teamwork and an ability to discuss different fields related to finance. In this environment, Finance interns will be expected to undertake responsibilities that include economic and financial policy research, and analysis for data collection purposes. These projects will increase the awareness of the Finance intern to be aware of how money flows throughout each nation-state studied. In short, the overarching goal of the Finance intern is to grant SGI the ability to offer clients consultation that directly relates to who and where clients should invest, spend, and place their money.

Finance Internship


As a Business Administration and Research Intern, you will be introduced to projects that specifically deal with sustainability connected to a nation-states’ economy. Further, Business-Admin interns will be placed into a collaborative and cross-disciplinary environment to cultivate teamwork and an ability to discuss different fields related to market research and business administration. In this environment, Business-Admin interns will be expected to undertake responsibilities that include building specific supply chains through market research that ultimately uphold our values at She Grows It. Of course, in this environment, we will offer assistance and support that ensures proper direction and detail that coincides with our vision of supporting sustainability with economic growth.
