Environmental & Sustainability Internship
Program Description
As an Environmental Sustainability intern, you will be introduced to projects that deal specifically with ecosystem services, economics intertwined with the environment, and citizen outreach. Environmental Sustainability interns will also be introduced to a collaborative and cross-disciplinary team environment. We use this kind of environment to ensure teamwork coupled with self discipline is maintained as a priority. Moreover, in this environment, you will undertake responsibilities that include economic and environmental sustainability policy research and analysis for data collection purposes.
At She Grows It, you will be introduced to research and analytical techniques that will give you the necessary tools to be effective in your career path. Specifically, Environmental Sustainability interns will research topics that deal with countries in Western Africa. These topics can all be extremely varied, but the overarching goal is to further understand these countries with lexicons that are based in citizen outreach, environmental and ecosystem policy, and service. After the countries have thoroughly been researched, each intern will begin an analysis process. In brief, the analysis process is used to determine which topics are of relevance for each country's profile in order to better serve them with consultancy.
Our She Grows It team will not only offer you valuable tools to cultivate your research and analysis abilities, but also we will support you in skills that relate to job development. We use tools that empower and educate our interns. For instance, we hold professional seminars and lectures that aim to teach methods of framework, introduce new perspectives and also challenge perspectives. Intern job development for practical use in today's ever changing world is our number one priority. We want to ensure that each intern has the opportunity to grow their skill set in such a way that employers choose our interns first. In summary, as an Environmental Sustainability intern, we will provide you the necessary research and analysis mechanisms to support your academic career, whilst also receiving training that will build your effectiveness as a professional.
