Statement: Applaud Beyond Aid

SGI Applauds Ghana’s Beyond Aid Agenda

Ghana Beyond Aid is a progressive forward-thinking policy agenda that will aim to strengthen Ghana from the bottom up and end the current challenges enabled by the status quo. This policy agenda aims to include all stakeholders in Ghana and reduce Ghana’s dependence on foreign aid and investment from multinational corporations. The specific goal of the Ghana Beyond Aid Policy is to reduce Ghana’s dependence on the export and production of raw materials like cocoa, gold, and crude oil into a more developed economy based on high-value services and manufacturing that will be supported by the development of high-end infrastructure, education, and technological capacity.

She Grows It (SGI) is proud of the Ghanaian government for launching this innovative and forward-thinking policy. This policy will empower the communities of Ghana and help Ghana as a nation uplift itself, and we applaud West African leaders’ efforts to think big beyond the status quo. Furthermore, this policy is linked to our vision of empowering Ghana and other African countries via a regenerative economy by putting people and local communities first over the interests of multinational corporations and the upper class. Furthermore, we are proud of the ambitiousness of the Ghana Beyond Aid policy, as it calls for massive structural changes with heavy public-private partnership (PPP) investments, which will move Ghana into the 21st century and make it a beacon of progress and opportunity among African nations.

Moreover, we applaud the fact that the Ghana Beyond Aid policy includes all stakeholders in the Ghanaian economy to ensure that all voices are heard and that every stakeholder will benefit and be included in Ghana’s 21st-century development. This push towards inclusivity is imperative in building the regenerative economy needed to push
Ghana beyond aid. The Ghana Beyond Aid policy agenda is an innovative forward-thinking vision that will remove Ghana’s dependency on foreign aid and transform Ghana into a vibrant and strong economy that serves all Ghanaians equally.
